The Abbey Tower
The tower dates back to the 11th century. After 196 steps you will enjoy a breathtaking panorama overlooking the city and surroundings.
The church which has a baroque gate (1655) was built by the architect Louis Roelandt, born in Gent. After the fire of 1975 the church was pulled down. Now eight pillars with a height of 18meters suggest the silhouette, the height and the form of the former Romanesque church.
